Patong Beach Shopping

What to Buy in Patong Beach

During the day, many of the goods available at the night markets can be bought from stalls and small shops in the area of beach road that are open day and night.

Not usually open until late morning - around 11.00am. In Patong, the tradition of the small family owned business can still be found in the tailor shops, jewellry stores and leathergoods and art.

Heading out of Patong towards Karon and Kata Beach, there are a number of excellent furniture stores and painting studios which make or paint to order. You can also buy painting at Patong Shopping Centre also on Beach Road near Molly Malones and KFC.

"Seeka" is an excellent and very friendly shop on three small storeys, offering a wide choice of handicrafts from north Thailand at very good prices and rosewood lamps which are nowadays difficult to find (click here to see a photo gallery). Located in the street behing Banana Disco, from the beach road.

Convenience Stores

Can be found everywhere, from the local store to the international franchises, but prices can vary in small shops. It is usually not necessary to bargain on small items as prices are generally fixed.

Seven-eleven and Big One display their prices and are open 24 hours, but most shops open until very late.
